The office of the City Clerk serves to assist and support the Mayor and the City Council. Many of the daily functions of the City of Columbiana are conducted through the City Clerk’s office. The Clerk is the custodian of records, serves as Human Resource Manager, chief municipal election official and oversees the daily operation of City Hall. As City Treasurer, the City Clerk’s office manages the financial accounts for the City.
Charlene Tucker was appointed as the City Clerk / Treasurer by the Columbiana City Council in November 2018. She graduated from Shelby County High School in 1988. Charlene received her Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from George C. Wallace Community College in 1994 and her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Baker College in 2011.
